If only an eighth of your audience finishes the thing but your audience started ten times bigger than the other guy’s, that’s probably a win.

If you spend a half a billion dollars on eight episodes, and figuratively no one watches the last four, then you’ve wasted a quarter of a billion dollars. What is the point of spending millions on something no one* watches?
Other shows don’t cost as much though…
I don’t a gun and I never plan to. Statistically speaking, I’m more likely to get hurt or hurt myself with my own gun than I am to ever stop someone trying to hurt me. Those are odds I’m not interested in. Also idk I would think the guy saying “he’s been playing a game of “Fuck Around and Find Out” for a while and…
If I have to choose between DeSantis and Disney, I will begrudgingly choose Disney every time. DeSantis is a deeply cruel and incredibly weird man, and I enjoy seeing him lose. But we don’t have to label Disney “liberal progressive,” even relative to DeSantis. They are not by any stretch of the imagination.
Tell the fans.
George W. Bush is a liberal progressive relative to DeSantis.
I think that’s his plan. But I also think it’s worth noting that 1) he is a very weird man, which might not have stopped him from winning the governorship but may hurt him in other parts of the country; 2) governors have been performing terribly in Presidential primaries since 2004. Senators (Trump being a big exceptio…
Mama mia!
Oh, I would argue that there are many left-leaning fans of Disney’s IPs (read: Marvel, Star Wars) who have been convincing themselves that Disney is a liberal progressive company for several years now.
I’m not convinced he doesn’t. The modern GOP is fueled by outrage. They make it up when it doesn’t exist (see: “woke” M&M’s). Disney dragging this fight out through a campaign trail means DeSantis can campaign on fighting Disney. The saddest part is that he can objectively be losing that fight and it doesn’t matter…
a 2022 spat between DeSantis and Disney over the company’s (tepid) support for LGBTQ rights
That looks like a Winamp skin.
The article points out that this was the most expensive show ever and that Amazon’s goal was 50%. So that right there should tell you all the context you need (given that other shows might have lower retention number but don’t cost as much).
That’s why I like movies.
Actually, “they” can only do this to you if you commit crimes.
That’s kinda’ my point. WB could get sold tomorrow (figuratively) and a new boss could kick out Gunn and restart the DCU again. I wasn’t suggesting it’s entirely up to the whims of James Gunn whether we see Jaime, say, crossover with Peacemaker.
Ehh, what he says, what he does, and what ends up happening are all very different things.
That’s the best part!
