I think it’s going to be the former. Trump and NBC have a very cozy relationship depsite what he claims and networks are all about ratings. Real news is a distant...whenever. And nothing gets better ratings than the fake journalism at Fox news. I imagine NBC now wants a big piece of that bigot pie.
