I highly advise against crunches and sit ups. Really bad for your back. Plenty of core exercises that do a much better job with minimal risk of a spinal injury. Once you mess up your spine it’s downhill.

Mesh networks are about coverage not really performance. Connections are what can bring a router to its knees. You can have a router that can cover 4000 sq ft but if that thing cripples the moment 6 or more devices are simultaneously making connections and using bandwidth, it won’t matter.
