I am 100% onboard with this. As someone who had to be bussed into a better school district (by a program meant to help desegregate in the 90s, I shit you not), I loathe and detest the current system. Yeah, I do too. I walk my dog past there, actually. And in comparison to East San Jose, which would have comparable housing, yes it absolutely is a good neighborhood. The area does have low income housing but it also has pretty nice homes and a fantastic elementary school only a few blocks away.
