I am not from central nor southern Virginia nor am I a Skins supporter. And I’m not whitewashing the team’s racist past. Just adding some context to why they are the 2nd most valuable franchise. There’s also less money in DC than you seem to be suggesting, at least compared to NY and SF.

That’s not the main reason. The Skins have a much larger fanbase than the DC market because until the 60’s they were the southernmost NFL team and even considered “The South’s NFL team”. “Fight for ol Dixie” and all that.
