Me too. The lack of discourse with constituents who are not of the same political persuasion is appalling.

Don’t forget about all of the federal judges that need appointments. I wake up in a cold sweat in fear about what will happen at the lower level courts.

I wish I could star this a thousand times. I’m a former state-level staffer and our interns were paid way less than Congressional ones to get yelled at over the phone on a regular basis. Sometimes I was the one getting yelled at over the phone (and I was earning way less than a Congressional intern)- please remember

I know several women who fall in this category. I have a feeling the deal was sealed even more when the pastors at their churches preached about voting for the sanctity of life and keeping the Supreme Court conservative the weekend before the election (I am making a presumption about what went on in their churches the

Newbie poster, longtime lurker. I marched today in St. Paul. There were 25,000 people expected and the final tally was 100,000. It was empowering to be with so many like-minded people. It was my first time being involved in a large protest and I am so happy I did it. My hope is that this feeling continues and we

Thank you! That’s all I got right now, but I do thank you for being honest in this post-facts era.

I totally squeed when I saw that! I wish I could star it a thousand times.

Starred for Betsy Wetsy. Thank you for giving me a chuckle while reminding me of my college mentor who would have been marching her ass off today.

Thank you! I can’t claim credit for the slogan - I found it doing a google search for sign ideas. I would love to know who came up with it so that I could attribute it to them in the future.

I misread your statement - I apologize. Our area is getting ready to start our cookie sale, so that’s been on my mind.

The bigger idea of “Respect Authority” is to learn from those who have come before you and that rules have meanings. It has nothing to do with “tradition for tradition’s sake alone” and it is often tied to the Safety Award - which includes such requirements as knowing your address, phone number, poison control

I’m a Girl Scout, troop leader, and service unit volunteer. It states quite clearly in the volunteer guidelines that GSUSA in a non-political and non-partisan organization. Personally, I am not happy with this decision but I understand where they are coming from.

If I hadn’t agreed to do a different sign after many discussions with my therapist (“I will no longer accept the things I cannot change, but I will change the things I no longer accept”) I would be all over this.

Sorry to be that person, but it’s the 100th anniversary of cookie sales, not the 100th year of Girl Scouts which were founded in 1912.

It’s in there but each troop can decide if they want to include it. Source: GS troop leader and service unit volunteer who has endured many hours of training.

I have been involved with Girl Scouts since I was old enough to be a Brownie (I’m so old that Daisies didn’t exist when I started in the organization). I can’t say that I am surprised about this decision because the Volunteer Essentials guide pretty much spells it out that GSUSA is a non-political and non-partisan

I wish I could star this more than once. I am a former teacher (left because my program was discontinued - I don’t know why I thought being certified in Latin wouldn’t end badly?), and the daughter of a professor who teaches teachers how to teach and I am appalled with this nomination. I’m also a former catholic

As a former teacher, I am so happy that Sen. Franken represents me. He is spot on in this.

I’m married to a physics Ph.D (white male). I don’t recall seeing any women of color in his department during the time I knew him while he was there (we met the summer after he passed his M.S. exams). Thank you for sharing this - I sincerely hope this movie brings about a bigger conversation that really needs to be
