Plus Murderbot is coming.
Plus Murderbot is coming.
Oh. Sooo space spores. Well...let’s see if it starts to reanimate the dead.
“Don’t Be Evil,” unless you can make billions off it, apparently.
I think Ed is a terrible person but a fascinating one who sometimes stumbles into doing the right thing (not always for the right reason), and as a result constantly ends up the footnote in history for other people’s moments. He followed orders on Apollo 10 and didn’t land when he considered that he could, and then…
You didn’t find (SPOILER ALERT) yeeting a pregnant woman into space implausible? Or the North Korea thing? Or the fact that it became a soap opera about management and labor but with spycraft and shifting frenemies?
Honestly, the only part I find implausible is that the same 3 people have been running everything since the 60's. That’s the part I find most unbelievable and, frankly, annoying. I was sick of Ed before the end of the first season, I would have spaced him by now.
Absolutely. I’ve been banging on about this show to anyone who would listen for years but I still only know a few people who watch it, which is a travesty. It’s definitely (still!) the best show that nobody is watching.
It’s still going because Apple is viewing Apple+ as a loss leader for the time being. Remember when Netflix started with the dump trucks full of money to make original programming that blew everyone away to cement their position as a great source for streaming content? Apple is in that phase of its lifecycle.
Just because it all dropped at once, doesn’t mean you HAVE to binge it, it just means the folks that want to can. If you don’t want to, don’t. People just want to watch how they want, the vast majority could give less than a single shit if there’s a cultural conversation about it and whether that conversation is hurt…
But... if the EaRtH iS fLaT, all the oceans touch!
“signs of of human sacrifice: some of the individuals had their hands bound, severed feet, and were decapitated”
Not really, maybe parts of Northern California you could call the archetype of the left wing (in one city, just like in Oregon), but definitely not the Southern part.
man, this looks really good
You had me at cruller shaped device.
I still can't stand how were giving interiors like this a pass. Going through menus to change vehicle setting and do climate is unacceptable. Many outlets haven't even reported the fact that like the ID4, this only has TWO window switches up front and a "rear" toggle. Just insane cost cutting. Don't give this car a…
I’m pretty sure Christian Bale, who has no formal training as an actor is this age’s greatest talent.
Too bad you can’t roll down that iPad on the dash.
I was interested until I saw that the only thing in/on the dash was a tablet. No instruments at all.
Toyota’s bet on hybrids has been so succesful that you have to wait 18 months and pay dealer markup to get a Sienna hybrid. Why the Big 3 have abandoned hybrids (except Stellantis, which keeps building hybrids that break all the time) is absolutely beyond me.
I read the whole article in a whisper cry to really do Discovery justice. But seriously, seeing it all laid out here it's all so dumb. But the spore drive is the single dumbest addition to Trek that the show has made, and it seems like they either don't understand how dumb it is or simply feel stuck with the idea at…
