The fact that it is relatively in one piece can tell us a lot about the impact that tore it from the plane. It wasn’t a fast, uncontrollable crash, as that tends to shatter the plane into pieces. It must have been a slower crash, such as a water landing after running out of fuel if the crew was unconsious.
