Well, Harrison’s value isn’t as a third baseman (in fact, he played zero innings there last year), really; it’s as a super-utility, poor man’s Zobrist type of guy. He can definitely play four positions at the ML level and can fake it at short if you need him to.

Remember last season when McCutchen gave his batting gloves to those two kids in the stands at the end of a road game, and they kept pointing at him and screaming “I love you!” I can’t remember the last time any interaction between a player and kids made me that happy.

And he is a really good dude and loved in Pittsburgh. As a Pirates fan that spent the majority of my life watching unwatchable teams I will always have a fondness for Cutch bringing us out of the dark ages.

It’s really inexplicable that he just sucked all of the sudden, and incredibly sad that his career with the Pirates will likely end this way. He was the savior of the franchise, helping it somehow win 98 games only two seasons ago.

“There might be a gas outage in Pittsburgh this week because the stove, my friends, appears to have gone freezing cold for Andrew McCutchen and the Pirates.”

I hope my reply here stays buried, because I am enjoying the vitriol. But I actually think Draymond’s kicks are intentional.

So what? He is a starting NFL quarterback and he ain’t leaving. It was even more of a publicity stunt than this.

Nothing about the opinions of this expert were illuminating in any respect, especially when the expert is opining on causal mechanisms far outside her area of expertise (i.e., her psychologizing explanation of Green’s kicks).

No one seems to mind when Russell Wilson shows up at MLB Spring Training, and he isn’t even attempting to make the team.

Might secretly be the hottest take on Deadspin.

“It had to hurt when they lost LeBron,” Jackson said. “That was definitely a slap in the face. But there were a lot of little things that came out of that. When LeBron was playing with the Heat, they went to Cleveland, and he wanted to spend the night. They don’t do overnights. Teams just don’t. So now [coach Erik]

sometimes i read things moronic articles on this site and i think, ‘who would want to attach his/her name to this garbage idea?’ then i google the author and see that he/she graduated from some college like james madison in 2013 and basically has no fucking clue about anything and so much makes sense.

Literally no one had this perception of the word until this, outside of Lebrons team. I’ve never heard it used racially...ever. In the past Lebrons “business associates” have been criticized for poor behavior, and I am assuming Phil used posse as a call back to that, but brining race into it -with a man whose entire

Phil Jackson got into this mess because he insulted Lebron’s friend and Lebron pretended their are some racial undertones to saying “posse” that didn’t exist until Lebron decided it was to his benefit. There are no “good guys” in this story, just good gossip.

What is even going on here? Why not use the cross to blow by him rather than lazily dribble backwards? If this is an end of game situation and he’s just killing clock then surely he’d just foul him, right? I don’t understand any of this.

Dying on the cross of Mike Brown is a terrible argument to make in regards to justice not being done. The narrative didn’t fit anything in the forensic reports.

All the physical evidence supported Darren Wilson’s story. Stop peddling a false narrative.

If we demand billionaire owners pay for their own stadiums, I think we can expect millionaire players to foot the bill for the extra hotel room.

Baseball is the only sport that actually looks like America.

When the thought, “waiting for the right time to break it to the internet” crosses your mind, it’s a powerful sign that you have made poor life choices.
