Yeah give the books another shot. I can’t guarantee 100% that you will like it but I think it likely. Some of the story in book 2 you’ve already seen (Julia’s arc is covered in flashbacks) but much more detailed and... graphic.

I would give it a shot. I read the first book myself and kinda struggled to get through it (Quentin is just such a douche) and gave up on the series. Commenters here suggested I pick it back up and I did and was very happy I did.

The name shenanigans are a little odd but I am just happy that Arrow is good again so am willing to forgive some silliness (a la the first season of Flash).
