1) Be nice to everyone (unless they actively deserve not-nice).

Very much looking forward to Words of Radiance, I loved Way of Kings. Conveniently comes out 2 days before my birthday!

You're right, it's not. I've gotten both of the first 2 seasons at Best Buy when they are released for like $35, I'm sure their preorder will be going live soon for cheaper than this.

Yep, these books were my gateway into reading fantasy. I remember being in my room reading Dragons of Spring Dawning in one sitting on a snow day. It wasn't until I read these books that I actually began to read for pleasure instead of just for school assignments (I mean, besides the dinosaur books I read when I was

Isn't this true of pretty much every prophecy in fiction? They NEVER mean what the characters think they mean when they initially hear it.

So wait a second... CBS got Halle Freaking Berry to star in a show produced by Steven Freaking Spielberg and they are airing it in SUMMER??? Yeah that just speaks volumes about their confidence in the quality of the show.

That'd be pretty sweet if Sansa starts playing everyone the way she's been played. Cersei Jr in the making (without the brother love of course).

Double huzzahs!

Buffy-bot couldn't have sung "Something to Sing About" with so much feeling. :)

Ok well that makes more sense then, thanks for the explanation. Wasn't aware that the BBC was more like PBS over here. Kinda makes you wish a network more like the traditional American networks would take it over... of course they would probably screw it up anyway coughstarztorchwoodcough.

Completely agree on both points.

I really can't understand how Doctor Who has budget issues. Massively popular show in its home country, popular amongst the ever increasing geek culture in this country, tons of merchandising to the point that I can go to my local Newbury Comics and find an entire section devoted to a British show... I just don't get

Not in the least. Love the show.

Garrison will take over the role played by John Hawkes in the film, Pete. Pete's a clerk at Benny's World of Liquor. The store will be taken over by the Geckos in the first episode. And Garrison will play Professor Aiden Tanner, "an eccentric intellectual obsessed with the Mesoamerican mythology behind the vampires."

I've been playing it on my phone now for a couple weeks, it is exactly like Puzzle Quest but with Marvel characters and their powers instead of fantasy tropes. The game is a lot of fun, though somewhat difficult to get far without spending money. You have to be patient if you want to keep it free (though honestly,

Noob's question sums up the entire problem with comics, there is just too much out there for the average person to get started in them. It's not like you can just go back to #1 and read them in order either because the stories always branch out to other books and you need a freaking map to get the whole thing.

Agreed. Moaning Myrtle as a sidewalk was just freaking wrong.

Blink is my favorite episode, though I have only watched Doctors 9+. Carey Mulligan is adorable and the angels were legitimately scary (until they screwed them up).

I'm the same way, I just can't make myself watch the old series. I even had a hard time starting with 9, the effects in that season are almost as cheesy as the old seasons (plastic Mickey?). Happy I managed to stick with it though.

They ran it on Sunday so they could have the football lead-in, they advertised it all day.
