Ah yes, getting there early has a different definition depending on the airport.

Actually, it is much, much slower. Those jets from the '60s flew a lot faster than modern airplanes, because fuel was cheap back then. NY-LA used to take ~4-4.5hrs, today it is more like 5.5-6hrs, even with better, more direct routings.

#1 depends on the airport. My home airport of PWM has only 10 gates, and the TSA guys know me by name. I get there 30 minutes before boarding time and think nothing of it, takes <5mins to park my car, walk through security, and then to the gate. I'd cut it closer but even there I have had a couple times where the

At $58M, isn't it also cheaper than the Gulfstream by quite a bit? And I think Gulfstream is well and truly backordered on their planes, so availability may be a selling point as well.

People really make it worse for themselves though. It's really not hard to make it as smooth as possible, even in coach:

I disagree with a couple points here - the connections count more than the last flight. I don't care at all if my last flight is late, but I care a LOT if my first flight (or Dog forbid my 2nd of 3) is late - I have to make a connection to another flight 95% of the time when I am flying. If the last flight is

That thing takes me right back to high school. Sooooo '80s, even two-tone paint. Friend of mine's Mom drove one, I got to take it out a few times. Sadly, they really were not much fun to drive, way more Buick than BMW. This one certainly looks to be in lovely shape though.

At least on the 228i, BT streaming is standard now. I don't have a clue what that enhanced option is either. Which means I definitely have no use for it!

If you want to get kissed while smelling like a garage, date dudes.

BTW, BT Audio is standard for 2015.

You just don't save enough to bother with on a CPO, in my opinion. Plus no Euro Delivery on a used car. And having to settle for someone else's choices in color and equipment. Buy new or buy REALLY used for a pittance. I am equally happy with my bought new BMW and my $5500 Range Rover.

See, this is why I like BMW, they will sell each of us the car we want. Unlike the Japanese take it how we decide to sell it to you approach. Though I had a lot more choice of individual options when I ordered my '11 than I will on the 2-series. I would like comfort access and the autodimming mirrors, but I don't want

You are THE MAN! As to be expected of a fellow Peugeot aficionado. If the basic car is good enough, the level of toy is irrelevant. I wouldn't drive a loaded Versa...

See, I can't see spending the money for an M235i. Where can you use the extra performance? I'm doing Euro Delivery, so I could actually use it a few times in Germany, but in the US, a 228i is already fast enough to get your license shredded the first hour you own the thing. A 235i costs more up front, costs more in

The problem is not holding the device, the problem is that you are talking to someone who is not present in the car with you. I have BT in all of my cars except the Spitfire and it doesn't make a bit of difference to how distracting the telephone conversation is. I keep them to an absolute minimum.

Depends on the car. A base 3-series BMW is still a pretty great car. And what isn't there will never break. There is a happy medium between stripped and loaded. I ordered my BMW wagon without several common options that are known to cause expensive problems down the road. One of the things I did NOT want, power seats,

The Metro Detroit area has roughly 2.5X the population of my entire state, and a LOT more people who are actually willing to buy domestic cars. And 90% of the wealth of my state is concentrated in a very small area around Portland, so not surprisingly that is where all the foreign luxury makes are - all within about a

The best airline is the one you have the highest elite status on. I can guarantee that I have a better overall experience flying US Airways 135 segments a year than someone flying Qatar or Emirates once on a coach ticket. Especially when something does go wrong. If you only fly occasionally, you are self-loading

You probably have a heck of a lot more dealerships around you. I just did a search - every Lincoln dealer in Maine is part of a Ford store, but there are only 8 in the whole state.

And I deleted the orange side markers on my e91 BMW. Guess we will agree to disagree on this one. I prefer the car the way the designer intended it to be, not the perversions forced by our stupid laws.
