Why wouldn't you, they still have to ship that car over from Europe. What is stupid is that AFAIK, you still pay it on X cars delivered at the Performance Center, and they are built right near there.

I think a bigger issue is that to me it looks like the extradition treaty only applies to FEDERAL crimes. There is also a limitation that the crime has to be punishable by more than one year in prison.

I knew that, but I never saw NWA actually do it with their 727s. Always wondered about that.

Or you buy a BMW because you like the way BMWs drive. I certainly did. Plus it was one of only two RWD, manual transmission wagons on the market in 2011. Performance is relative, even my 328i is faster than can be safely used on public roads in the United States. Was very nice at 130mph in Germany though.

Of course there is a reason not to buy them, two actually. They are expensive to buy, and they break, and are then really expensive to fix. Interesting fact - BMW's CPO extended warranty specifically does not cover the infotainment system components. Why do you suppose that is? I actually wish I had not gotten power

A 3-series is not a luxury car to start with (and I bought my '11 328i wagon new). And what isn't there won't break. BMW's nav system is terrible, my TomTom is about 100X better. My car without iDrive can do 95% of what the iDrive cars can do through the OBC and turn signal stalk buttons or through the stereo itself.

One of the many things I miss about Northwest Airlines is that they would routinely power back their DC-9s at their hubs. No tug needed - apply thrust forward to unstick the airplane, reverse thrust to back it away from the gate, forward thrust again to stop.

He wasn't in traffic court, he was in Supreme Court (which is actually the lower trial court in NY), as these are criminal charges. You don't get a jury trial for traffic court in NY. It's probably still a bench warrant, but there will probably be additional charges, if nothing else the judge will hold him in contempt

I HIGHLY doubt that the Canadians will extradite a citizen over this silliness. For that matter, I very much doubt New York will even seek it in the first place for a misdemeanor original offence - it's expensive. He has a bench warrant out for him, he had best just stay out of the US.

No doubt - there are a couple hundred miles of Maine border that is just a quick swim or a short hike. Completely open and undefended.

I bought an '00 Saab 9-5 V6t wagon from a shop in Oklahoma that was a "keep busy" project. Had been hit in the b-pillar, which set the side airbags off. They kept a photographic record of the original damage, and all the repairs. One of the best cars that I have ever owned, bought it for $8K when my local Saab dealer

Pretty much every issue Doug has had would be something a properly equipped electric luxury car could have as well. I am recalling some air suspension issues, water leaks, broken electric steering column, CD player, brakes, but I am not recalling any particular issues with the drivetrain. An electric car WILL need a

A friend of mine paid $3500 for some sort of gold-plated extended warranty on an '08 4cyl Honda Accord. The dealer also gave him $4K for his MINT condition <60K '02 loaded VW Passat (which had never had a single issue - really!). Yeah, he is kind of an idiot. He just traded the Accord for a '14 Fusion Titanium, having

Is there any other way?

Lots of back pain though - no support at all in those rolling couches. Felt great in the showroom, agony after a few hours.

Yes, it's not nearly enough cheaper for me. Which is why I bought a BMW, and not a Nissan with bells on.

In that case, I suggest you go into business manufacturing cheaper coil packs for CL65 AMGs. The world will beat a path to your door! You could probably make dozens of dollars doing it too!

This is all completely irrelevant. The coil pack for the car in question costs $1500 to replace. Whether that is right or wrong or good or bad is utterly irrelevant. Reality is that Mercedes can set their prices however they want. Reality is also that probably $1000 of that price is because they CAN.

Well, I suggest you apply to Mercedes for an engineering position, since you obviously know enough to redesign the spark management system on a CL65 AMG.

One more pic, shows the relative sizes a bit better:
