In regard to Flatliners, arguably, redoing a mediocre movie is exactly what a remake is *for*. There’s a chance that they might actually get it right. Not that I saw the redone Flatliners, but I greatly prefer the idea of that than pointless remakes of classics that can only be worse.

I think good humor requires a degree of empathy and understanding of your fellow man and that’s lacking the further right you go.

That’s because the jokes aren’t inspired by the need to communicate and connect, like those of actual good comedians. They’re inspired by the need to troll their imagined enemies.

Chastain is right.

That’s actually an interesting twist...

The problem is that Alita is the only character in the live action (subjective) adaptation that has big manga eyes. In contrast to everyone else, it’s unsettling and difficult to not be drawn to them.

Her eyes should hook up with Henry Cavill’s upper lip.

She seems alright, but what’s wrong with everybody else’s eyes?

Coincidentally, Christoph Waltz was in a movie called Big Eyes, about an artist who drew kids with big, creepy eyes.

I didn’t put together that Christoph Waltz is the Doctor who created her, which makes this being Big Eyes 2 even weirder.

Deliberately using the uncanny valley could be an interesting idea.

Man... I dunno... that’s... I mean, yeah, I dunno man.

I just can’t believe that they’re finally making a live action Pokémon movie, and it’s based on a weird inconsequential spin-off that was never released outside of Japan

Now that this is out of the way, I ask -nay - DEMAND a Monk movie.

He also claims he’s suffering from “post-traumatic stress disorder” due to tensions on the Bohemian Rhapsody set...

Could his stress be about how he’s literally the number one guy in Hollywood named as the next ‘open secret’ abuser who has yet to fall? I imagine that would be a stressful position to be in.

Sounds like they are Queening house.

It’s the safest assumption. Fuller is a genius. American Gods was hard enough to adapt and he did it masterfully. Maybe the groundwork is laid well enough that someone else will be able to pick up the slack and carry it, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Nice

Any fight where James Cameron comes out looking like the good guy, you know the other guy was a true asshole.
