Glad to see the AV Club is covering the show this season.
I'm going to throw in and say 'Bridge of Spies' was a crackerjack and relevant piece of adult-aimed entertainment that was hampered by marketing that made it look too 'important'. It was really an incredibly well produced and directed, if modestly scaled, legal espionage thriller. I believe it's the sort of movie that…
I don't doubt her sincerity. But I also think there's a very good reason why she was the filmmaker Snowden sought out to tell his story.
Honestly, when I watched 'Citizenfour' I couldn't help but think I was watching Edward Snowden essentially direct his own hagiography.

' If one FX employee used the ‘c-word’ term to describe a female co-worker, that employee would be summarily fired. '
Because the entertainment industry is traditionally SOOO kind to aging women…
Watching him in character as Bob Aldrich made me realize Alfred Molina absolutely NEEDS to play Roger Ebert some day.
I imagine it's not easy for an actor to turn down the opportunity to play God in a film.
Nah, it's a reference to a term Rabin used to use when writing about Brando's latter career; that it only made sense if you assumed he was picking his roles based on the advice of the Great Gazoo.
If Johnny Depp was once a modern Brando, does his recent filmography indicate he's reached the Great Gazoo stage?
Assuming "The Crown" lasts four seasons (Peter Morgan says he plans to introduce Diana late in season 3 and make her a major characters in Seasons four and five) it could be interesting to compare that show's restrained style to what will almost certainly be Ryan Murphy's more bombastic take.

I remember when this was going to be a movie Vin Diesel wanted to play Black Bolt (in addition to voicing Groot in GOTG).
The Cassidy family just can't catch a break. Fuck Dementia.
Every time I see a trailer for this movie I get distracted by how modern Charlie Hunnam's clothing looks compared to the other costumes… everybody else is in opulent plate armor or mud-caked rags, but Arthur is wearing a nicely tailored linen and cloth getup that could have come out of a department store.
My favorite part of her acting is how she pronounces the word 'internet'. It's literally like a parody of out of touch TV writers trying to be relevant:
Ludi Lin (Zack) is trained in Muay Thai and jujitsu (he also has a really cool Instagram page). I don't know about anyone else in the cast.
It's not a coincidence that both Richard Spencer and this douche claim that they are hated by the Right. Claiming persecution gives you power via a fake underdog narrative.
