The best life hacks aren't tech-powered, but knowlede. I've gained all sorts of laundry insights over the years.

There is no sure-fire treatment for them. Sometimes a pesticide will work, sometimes a home remedy will work, sometimes using a steam cleaner will work, sometimes hiring experts to heat your home to boil/bake them out will work. And most of the time NONE of it will work.

I cut cable TV in 2010, justified $199 on a decent 32" HDTV w/ clearQAM and $8/mo to Hulu and Netflix. That took care of local TV, new TV shows and movies. I later added Plex to my Roku and PC. Sometimes I'll torrent something popular, but I'm not rushed to go download it immediately.

Interesting exception to the rule. And, for Arizona, a good one.

Movie theater can always say, "We're a theater, not a hospital, not a charity." Neither illegal nor immoral, although perhaps unkind.

Funny you should bring that up... when my kids were little and were picky about food, if us adults wanted to go out to eat and bring our kids along, if we had to we would also bring the foods they would eat. Never had a restaurant have issue with this, we always ordered our food, tip generously. I frequently see

How many people have a properly balanced diet, though? The point being made is that so many of our calories are being delivered in liquified form, it's mostly transparent to us because it takes more liquid to fill our stomachs and trigger the "off" switch than solid food does. If our diets are going to be largely

Why is TWC's modem rental fee "bullshit"? It's their property, that they have to replace at their cost if it is defective or damaged by the customer. I don't see why it's bad that they charge a rental fee. Are they supposed to give it away for free?

The reason nobody has to warn you about eating too many fruits is because they are full of fiber which fills your stomach, which makes you feel full, and which take a long time for the body to break down and extract the remaining nutrients, which means its not sending signals that it's hungry.

You're the one still bitching about the conspiracy theory, not me.

I saw it. So, I wonder why you're continuing to rail on. :-)

Oh noes! Somebody takes open source software, which has no restrictions, and then finds a way to make money? THE SHAME! THE HUMANITY! CURSE HIM! CURSE HIM TO THE BOTTOM DEPTHS OF HADES!!!!! MAY HE DIE THE DEATH OF A THOUSAND BUNNIES TRAMPLING HIM IN PROTEST!

Yes, and a person who has spent a lot of time and effort making an excellent product, who all the sudden would like TO MAKE A LIVING FROM THEIR WORK, is an evil person! This didn't sneak up on people, on every upgrade you an clearly read about the changes in the product. I knew about the proposed changes long before

Social Fixer, Greasemonkey/Scriptish, Stylish, ABP, All-in-One Sidebar, Download Them All are on my must-haves. What I absolutely use the most, though, is FireFTP. Easiest FTP client I've used since the early days of WS_FTP.

Nobody is being deceived, if they can read and write then they can educate themselves quite easily. The whole purpose for the product is for whatever the developer states it is for. At one time, it was wholesale blocking of as many ads as possible. Today, that's changed. If you don't like it, change your settings, go

Goes right along with, "Don't take this the wrong way..."

Well, look who just came up and kicked Roku, Plex, and just about every other
streaming TV device and HTPC player right in the joint! That $35 price point is going to kill.

It looks like Experian has shut down this hack. Pitty.

So, for those of us who "clearly don't get it", can you go into detail as to exactly why these are all dangerous?

I'm guessing mine does then, built my machine in 2008, first one I ever used with SATA.
