OK, I voted CP. It’s not a bad price for a clean 914. However, the photos in the ad imply that the body kit was perhaps a little sloppily done, the engine compartment was a mess (though it is the correct engine), and the stretched cable linkage may point to a mess of other mechanical issues much more difficult to deal

The Dasher and Fox were very popular in Santa Fe in the late ‘70s. Popular enough that by the early ‘80s the local VW-only junk yard wouldn’t take any more. They rarely lasted 4 years, with fuel injection, fuel delivery, and electrical problems quickly adding up to more than the cost of the car. Notoriously

I agree. This is a handsome car, well cared for and not modded to hell.

This was a hard one: I recognize the seller’s mechanical intent and appreciate the care he has put into engine and suspension. However, the body condition and gauge issues put this below his premium price. Not really a crack pipe-more of a bubble pipe. Since you don’t offer that option, I voted CP. But I clicked it

That was a cruel thing to do to me while I’m drinking coffee. Now I need a new keyboard!

I really, really want this car. But that price??? searching KBB and local ads in Colorado it comes in between 10K and 13K too high. CP high, I’m afraid. These things depreciate like compost!

Price is a little high, but looking around at Hagerty, NADA, etc. it’s not absurdly so. My concern is that the doghouse over the radiator in the front trunk looks binged up, and the paint job is a little chunky. Do those point to front end damage?
Still, NP for the serious collector, and it is one hell of a cute car!

So far, most states I live in have required back registration be paid when you register a car - especially if bringing it in from out of state. The trick in NM was to go back through the line until you find a clerk nice enough to process it as if the DMV had lost the paperwork and save you the back taxes and penalties

Nice car for the serious Lancia aficionado with the budget, tools, expertise, and parts supply chain to care for it. Lots of really nice touches, and that engine! BUT, for anyone else, don’t just walk away, run! CP, I’m afraid. It’s at the high end of the price range, and importing it could be one HELL of a headache

2K and not trashed, NP.
2K, not trashed and a v6, VNP.
2K, not trashed, v6, and a stick, FNP!
Now if only it wasn’t 1300 miles away...
Thank you

Reading through some of the comments, I find I’m in the majority. I’d love to have this car, but I’m completely unwilling to spend $10K for a 30-year-old K-car.

Which all depends on the maintenance. I bought a very used (and dirt cheap) Mercedes with 235K miles on it. Had over 350K miles when my son totaled it. It had been scrupulously maintained all its life. I bought another similar Mercedes with only 145K miles on it, and wound up donating it to public radio at 160K miles.

Possibly, not probably. And the seller considers this “immaculate” which may indicate what he considers scrupulous maintenance.

The car looks to be in low to medium “good” range. If this is what the seller considers “immaculate,” what else has he overlooked? “Dude, the engine runs perfect except for this little knocking sound.”

You know, I need to express my appreciation for the people who devote so much care to preserving cars like this in such great condition, especially cars like the Justy—important little footnotes in automotive history.

Like you said, this might be the nicest Justy out there. However, 5K is too much for a 3-cylinder 1990 car, no matter how nice.

Quick question: What’s with the inverted readout on the results? Was this an overwhelming NP or CP? Expiring minds want to know.

It’s a ridiculous truck. Sadly the price is ridiculous too. At half that price, I’d be saying “Testosterone ROWR!” but at this price, I’d have to be smoking crack to want to buy it.

My daughter had a classmate in high school whose parents gave him an I8 as a 16-year-old birthday present. I saw it in the school parking lot every day with a missing fender.

Nice Truck. Laughably absurd price. Ridiculous price. Truly bizarre price. Not sure what else to add. Knock 10K off the price, and I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
