yup. nothing is more bourgeois than arguing over who is or is not bourgeois in the the comments section of a web site
Yeah, maybe she’ll be on an episode of the Replyall podcast if that still exists in 10 years.
I second this. Thank you for putting out awesome content Amy, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. I saw this topic come up in discussion on Imgur, and the (true) statement that women face more harassment then men online was enough to rile up a sudden deluge of misogynistic angry comments. I’m sorry…
THANK’S
You did a good job. It’s also nice that you knew when to break off from it. Knowing how to stay healthy is half the battle. All the best in the future Amy.
Does “much of its design” mean it’s a chip tune away from Type R output?
I want to see a drag race, in reverse, against the new Camry, followed by huge J-turns into each other in the middle of the drag strip for some ass-to-ass action.
Every time I start looking at affordable luxury cars (ATS, 3 Series, G37,A4 etc), I keep looking at those Accord Sports and think they’re nearly as nice, with fewer long-term maintenance concerns. If only Honda offered a RWD manual-equipped sedan...
Seems like this has to be the end of the line for Pitino, and maybe even the “University 6" AD. Admittedly, it seems unfair to go after Rick so close to the anniversary of 9/11, but he’s got to be about out of chances, no?
Yes, but the system was mechanical in the Cherokee. Which means that putting it back into 2WD involved sitting on the lever while bracing your leg on the A pillar and slowly rolling forward. (Or maybe that was just my Cherokee)
Protest in the street? Naw, this is not the time or place, since the protests are disrupting to my commute.
Let’s take politics out of this.
So...what do you do with all of the left-over parts when you put one back together?
Honda’s been back to doing some really great stuff lately, which is why we expected more from this car. Unfortunately the magic hasn’t spread everywhere yet.
I’m a Honda fan-boy and I can tell you nothing disappoints me more than Honda’s current Acuras. If this car had a de-tuned Type R motor with a proper 6-speed manual and suspension that was properly tuned, I’d have bought one already. A-Spec. Might as well call it P-spec for Poser-spec. What a joke. Soichiro Honda is…
Yeah this is the thing about AWD on sport vehicles that so many people miss. You really have to enter at about 20% higher speed than you think you should, loosen the car by a quick jerk of the wheel toward the apex, like you want to leave the road surface, in order to let it rotate, and floor it. Then, by the time…
If fact, I would even go so far as to say that the “D” grade for enthusiast driving totally does this car a disservice.
That’s how SH-AWDis intended to work. My ‘07 RDX out-cornered any car on any roundabout. The same goes for my current MDX.
The thing about the TLX SH-AWD is that it can be super fun but you totally have to reprogram the way you drive. So in most cars, when you get understeer you get off the throttle and decrease steering input. In a TLX SH-AWD, however, when you start to get understeer you have to introduce throttle. The torque-vectoring…
