The truck isn’t significantly bigger than most other trucks in the same category/class. No chance parking is a real issue. The guy probably realized he’s stuck with a shitty overpriced hunk of metal, and is trying to find a way out of that insane contract. 

We know Christian nationalists types were trying to stack the Air Force Academy as far back as maybe 10-12 years ago. I don’t know what became of the issue. 

And now he’s home patiently waiting for their poop emoji response. And he’ll probably say he rightfully deserves that too.

99% of truck owners in the US would see the same utility from a car no bigger than a Subaru Baja. Somewhere out there, there’s an alternate universe where instead of truck culture being the dominant car culture in the US, it’s the ute. The ute can pander to both the truck guys AND the tuner guys. This truck’s actual utility is informing those around you that you are a d-bag.

Same in MN, people complain about the taxes and yet have good roads, schools, healthcare, state parks, snow removal etc. It really is just a bunch of hate filled delusional racist libertarians that do not want taxes to help now white people. 

This is what people who complain about government/oversight/taxes don’t realize...you get something in return. People are like “I don’t get how you can live in Massachusetts with all those taxes”*. Which is fine if you don’t care about things like good schools, a strong social safety net, clean water, etc.

I don’t get RVs. They’re a horrible hybrid of cars and tents that aren’t good to drive and aren’t real camping. And like, the low end price for a new motor home is 50 grand, how many nights in actual hotels could you afford JUST on the interest for that?

This kind of anecdote is my favorite response to the malaise-era boomerisms about how Japanese cars were all crap that was trying to undercut red-blooded US automakers. In reality, basically everything coming out of Japan during that era was so far and ahead of the US automakers that it’s unfair to call them…
