@modestmouse: Yeah at this point I think you need to back it up with speedtest results. All phones lose a little reception when you cover the antenna. The difference is if it's a 30% loss or a 95% loss.

@tetzel1517: I haven't seen any testing on wifi. What happens to the SNR when you put your finger on the gap with 3G enabled and in action?

A possible theory to the problem:

@t3knomanser: I was thinking a layer of electric tape. Just trim it to fit nicely around the curve of the bottom corner of the phone but not overlapping the glass on the front or back.

@Holyelephant: "I think I understand what's happening. A recording of someone playing super mario is playing as the wallpaper on someone's phone"

So what happens if you put a 2" piece of electric tape around the bottom corner of the phone so it keeps you from touching both antennas at the same time?

@What The Geek: And some of the recent "Security Center" style viruses to break out will copy bogus youporn shortcuts to you desktop in addition to holding your computer hostage.

@Nitesh Singh: I was just wondering if iPhone has an actual benchmark program.

@OgilvyTheAstronomer: Facetime isn't any more impressive than video calls on overseas phones. The only difference is that they're not restricted to WiFi.

@Namarrgon: You totally deserve a star for that.

@octasquid: I see way more people blackberrys than iPhones. It be more logical for this app to be on other phones while they wait in line for the iPhone.

@killerantfarm: I'm glad somebody else saw the Cylon connection!

@rjp is protected: If I'm in a situation where I have neither coax or ethernet I'm going to run the faster, more common, and more widely used ethernet.

Now playing

Don't forget there are some problems to get past if you start working from home.

@klyph: AppBrain is the only way to go. Allows you do install all updates at once without Froyo as well.

@kittydeathgrip.com: I've heard so many stories like this (although usually with new droid users) that I'm not surprised at all about the growth rate.
