@TavanP: I used to have separate appointments for all my classes but it made all the appointment lists on my phone too long so that non-school appointments were off screen. Now I just schedule "School" as one or two appointment so that I can still see the evenings appointments.

@Raidah: That's what I was thinking, even if it's a little more pollution than normal to construct you have to look at the long term savings when you're dealing with a system as large and complex as a city.

I actually put on a 6.5 OS into my Fuze over the weekend and didn't like it.

OSX never had kanji input before? Microsoft IME has been around forever. Do they just not sell OSX in asia or have the people using it there been suffering for the last decade not being able to do handwritten kanji recognition?

I just use putty and tomato on my router at home. But I'm only trying to proxy my way around webfilters that block unreasonable websites (like anything with the word "Blog" what's up with that?). I'm not really interested in making my identity at the sites I go to.

There are programs that do stuff like this, they run on devices that are small enough to fit in your pocket called smart-phones. That way you can check and update your ToDo list without being at your computer or printing out a list on a piece of paper and carrying a pencil.

Most free wifi sites I goto now are over-saturated and tethering my computer to the AT&T 3G connection is faster (I think in the midwest we're better off than the coasts). Plus my HTC Fuze has tethering built-in, no software needed, just plug in via USB and it asks you if you want to sync, act as a USB drive, or

@Matt Makmur: Input Director is the way to go when you're at home but I think the major benefit of a netbook is working outside the house. In which case you can use the built-in Remote Desktop or add VNC to switch between desktops when at the coffee shop or library. RDP has low bandwidth requirements but sucks at
