Friends of ours did this, but they had to argue with the hospital to even get their placenta. The hospital insisted it was medical waste. Finally they compromised; the hospital left the placenta unattended, and the father snuck it out of the hospital in a plastic bag. I wonder if the hospital was concerned about…

Suburban Boston here: I had “Vote Yes on 3" canvassers at my house this weekend and on the T yesterday morning as I went to work. I’m so thankful for all of their hard work.

I’m thrilled that Kobach lost, but now a Democrat is going to clean up the absolute fiscal shitstorm left behind by Sam Brownback after, quelle surprise, tax cuts failed to pay for themselves.

I’ve been thinking about this; my grandparents emigrated in the 1930s, and my grandmother only naturalized after my mom was born. I don’t think my grandfather ever became a citizen. What does that imply for my mom’s citizenship, and for mine?
