this episode should have been graded A for it's awesome bAlls
anyone else reading the letter pages in the comic? kirkman is very careful not to throw anyone under the bus and still strokes off darabont vigorously, but still said that T-Dawg, Merle, the CDC, all the dumb shit from season 1 was darabont. also the whole core concept of TWD is that the zombie outbreak doesnt matter.…
more like the Walking Bread. Delicious bread.
please, everyone has vampires now. it doesnt take a tv exec's salary to figure that one out.
yeah, how is NBC supposed to figure out how to make a show like Modern Family? the idea of taking 22 minutes to film jokes involving an extended family is like catching lightening in a bottle. you can't buy that type of radical idea.
its true. just like how no americans know what a royal palace is. we're all like LOL WUT??????
but a wizard DID do it.
@avclub-d292288640f76927e1a299eabc8ee830:disqus i havent spent much time around tweens/teens so maybe it went all over my head. i know runaways has lots of fans so BKV obviously did something right, i just never dug it. i distinctly remember closing the book after the arsenic and old lace bit and thinking, never again…
see if your library has a copy of the 1st compendium which includes the first 48 issues in one paperback (yes it was a fucking ton). it's not high brow art but i think its pretty entertaining. more so than the tv shows, which gets bogged with all sorts of poor decisions.
thats definitely ennis' "tone". but he's so consistently over the top that it becomes endearing. to me anyway. ive read people shitting on The Boys but i think its just as good as preacher. his last miniseries about Butcher is some of the best stuff i've ever read from ennis (tho i admittedly havent read all that…
but i agree about some of the cuteness of vaughan's reference dropping. ampersand is a miserable name. also yorrick is such a gigantic pussy. i was glad he got his ass kicked so much. and had all his life's hopes and dreams brutally crushed.
thats the basic premise for dickloads of serialized action/adventure narratives involving a hero. preacher didn't invent it. come on.
peace, nice name, bro.
i couldnt get into runaways. he named two characters Arsenic and Old Lace. thats turned me right off.
that story can be found in the pages of Busydick: The Onlyfucker
i think Letterman was in Private Parts because NBC wouldn't let them use the clips from Stern's original appearances on Late Night and so Letterman agreed to just recreate them from scratch. Because he and Stern are simpatico.
yeah you got it, thats exactly why those bowl games exist. they certainly dont make their money back on ticket sales.
