I’ve lived with pretty severe bipolar disorder I since I was 14 (diagnosed only at age 28, but the symptoms set in far, far earlier than that). I know the pain of being so depressed you can’t get out of bed for days at a time, so much that even the thought of showering is too exhausting to accomplish. I know how it

“After killing the mobster with an M1911 Harry realised that life had really gone downhill after leaving Hogwarts with no qualifications.”

They sell cheesecake. The place could be covered with black velvet Elvis posters and Thomas Kinkade paintings and I would still go there.

It’s all about the lining.

I would counter that if you’re talking to someone you don’t really know, it’s not acceptable to blather on about the lifestyle choices you made. If someone asks for more information on how you eat, fine, tell them. Otherwise, say “No thanks” and pas the damn M&M’s along. No need to lecture anyone else on how they eat.

oh

Apparently, I rage-blocked Pan because I didn’t even remember it existed until your post — and then it all came flooding back. That fucking movie.

If it’s a true dad joke, then it’s “Hu’s there?”

That has got to be the most boring account of an“alien encounter” I’ve ever read. There’s no way there could be any rational explanation for that at all, nope.

Spare me the academic drivel (and yes, it is drivel).

Okay, let me say before I say anything else that I speak solely for my own half-Native self and nobody else. And this is just how I feel, personally.

until you actually have a child, which is like your heart being outside you, and that heart happens to be in a brown body

Ok, but the way it was written is as an attack on a mother for being worried about her five-year-old child’s safety

Davis is expressing a legitimate fear for her daughter and the realization about how privilege Davis has been and is. She is her right that her daughter does not experience that same privilege. It would be great if a lot of other white parents realized that about their own nonwhite children. Some do and some don’t.

If the tone you were going for in the Kristin Davis section was total asshole, you really nailed it.

Is this level of vitriol towards Sex and the City chick really warranted? I dunno, I just heard a mom talking about her kid...
