I was once given a detention for sitting the wrong way in a skirt in Catholic school and taught the right way. (Obviously, butt on seat, one ankle tucked behind the other and to the side. If on ground, legs and knees together, butt still on ground, ankles tucked next to butt off to side.)

But the professional photographer didn’t have to get on a couch to take a picture? She could have stood up for a minute, taken a picture, and sat down. Or kept her knees together. Or gotten behind the photographer and taken a picture. Or asked someone else to take a picture.
