That's what's nice about standing desks, you can walk away, stretch, shuffle your feet, etc. Sitting down makes these things more difficult. Also, I believe your legs would get used to it and your legs would no longer hurt.

Yep. To solve this, the cable would have to run freely through the button, with a small latch to hold the cable in place.
