@jw: You can get the TomTom turn-by-turn GPS apps, but they're not cheap!
What technology (or other) RSS feeds are everyone subscribed to?
@flinx1: Yeah I found that interesting that Toshiba was highly-rated for reliability - I haven't heard good things about them (from Futureshop's return rates - not that it says much). Sony and Asus are my personal favorites.

@brishu: Is vi really easier for you to program with? It's not the simplest editor in my experience, but I know that it can be very fast once you get used to it. Is it capable of syntax highlighting?
