@OkayOctane: ME2 was ok, but I definitely agree that they over-simplified some things.
I want more co-op multiplayer games. L4D has left me hungry for more. None of my friends are gamers anymore, and being able to drop into a game and start working with people is satisfying.
For those who have read the comic, the movie failed to show how seriously he was hurt.
I can imagine a first-person silent hill, but not a first-person /shooter/ silent hill. You could have melee combat a la Condemned so that the "regular guy with a pipe" feel will persist.
@Relysis: They don't have red tape, but my concern is whether or not they have experience to overcome the obstacles that games face in development. With at least 1 game under their belt from design to release, they'll be able to recognize the common issues before they happen.
That is a really ambitious deadline for an indie studio. They've only been working 9 months before this announcement, and plan to finish before the end of the year.
@Satis24: I like to engage in active stream-of-consciousness.

@SocialAdept: Give Silent Storm a try.
Either get a new concept or a new title.
That is a LOT of grey!
I think everybody IW loses will hurt.
I was kind of disappointed with those nanosuits in Crysis. I was expecting more gameplay variety, the only really interesting thing it does it allow you to become invisible. (armor, speed, strength don't change gameplay significantly).
@Megalomatthew: Which makes discussion of this issue very important.
I would consider this to be a bullshit excuse from almost anybody else, except for Kojima, because that really does fit his quirky sense of humor like sneaking around under a cardboard box in a battlefield.
That was a lot of wasted words. Just say "it's fanservice, DUH!"
