This is par for course in these places. Negotiation starts with a high price assuming you haggle down. If you settle, they get more money, if you haggle, they can go down as far as they're interested to make a profit since they're not committed to a sticker price.

I think the player could use some practice. In RE4 you could pretty much just barrel through the handful of zombies this player was up against, he just backs away and pecks at them. Get in there and mix it up!

That's a pretty weak excuse, you could just do communication by approval only, or a parental lock. Friend codes accomplish nothing but waste time and effort on everybody's part.
