That film sounds terrible but everything around it is fascinating; I kept going “wait, what?!”

In their statement they mention they’ve created legal entities named “Lady A’D” and “LAE”, which they position as a reason why they have a right to “Lady A” but it instead sounds to me like they’re just establishing they have plenty of other options.
Since this band seems hell-bent on being self-defeatingly pedantic, I figured I’d give that a try here too; I looked up the registration and it would seem to be http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4804:onmew4.2.12, and the original article from Rolling Stone here said
Yeah the first sign for people that J.K. Rowling was bad should have been her books.
I haven’t seen the show at all, but it sounds like his role on Netflix’s You may be less objectionable due to him paying for his sins in it. Seems like either a hell of a coincidence or someone trying to smoke signal though.
I mean you’re right, but then on the other hand AT&T has more money than God and has been planning this for years, and gave an entirely different timeline for the gradual changeover just last week before suddenly pivoting with this change.
In fairness if we had ignored the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and not trained Osama bin Laden in the first place . . .
I miss the days when we all hated Disqus. I'd say we had no idea how much worse it could get but honestly the AV Commentariat is a cynical bunch so I don't think it really caught us *that* much by surprise.
Just bring back The Nightly Show and be done with it.
If only it *was* even just about the clicks and the revenue, that’d be bad but it’d still be in a far better position than it is! Unfortunately, first and foremost, it’s about executive ego.
I bet at least at one point he was sure it'd make money, he’s just unwilling to listen to anyone who actually knows what they’re doing—which is doubly a problem with a union.
No need to know who he is anymore, thankfully! (At least barring a comeback of some kind, which I’m certainly rooting against.)
Welcome to the perverse world of intellectual property rights . . .
Executive management hasn’t made reasonable decisions up to this point, why start now?
If they don’t cut budgets now, in the middle of this pandemic, executive bonuses might be affected!
I’d bet Kinja being somehow vastly worse than Disqus (which was itself a vast regression for the AVC comment sections) means that the ratio is a bit skewed there still, but yeah.
I’ll be live-tweeting next Sunday’s conclusion
It’s reassuring to know that even in these tumultuous times, some things remain the same. No mere virus can even truly begin to thwart the triumph of human spirit that is
Well he *isn’t* still working on Deus in the simulation; the empty field Lily finds him in with his wife and daughter is where Devs was, but in the sim isn’t.
Well, back in the real world Devs could be tasked to also run simulations based on new data starting with observing some particle after the original decoherence. And at least as far as the show establishes, as long as the government suit (I forget, was she a senator?) doesn’t attempt to go against the nw simulation,…
