There are some good impressions/satires of Trump out there (Anthony Atamanuik in Trump vs. Bernie comes to mind). Our Cartoon President is not one of them.

Well fuck, from that description it sounds like they’re skipping the best book entirely, the second one. Chickening out on ancient alien archaeology and mil sci-fi, for shame!

As Drummer quipped on this season of The Expanse,

In fairness, the prior CW worlds often didn’t make much sense if you stopped and thought about all the implications, so in some ways this doesn’t change anything!

Did we ever get a definitive word about the deletion of the original AVCU uploads? I remember a lot of speculation about why, but not anything conclusive.

I’d love to see some of the Harley Quinn cast cross over to the live action stuff. In particularly, Lake Bell would make an amazing Poison Ivy in live action too (and as the most grounded character on that show she could even be written the same way).

And he dead!

Somehow they’ve gotten both less and more cheesy as the shows have gone on, so who even knows how it’d turn out.

Came here to, ironically, post basically exactly this. The guy in question may have been a douche, but the Blurred Lines verdict really fucked things up; pop music (and I mean that in a very general sense, easily including acts like, for example, NIN) has always been a push and pull between novelty and familiarity.

Great Job, Internet! Fin.

This quickly became a “we’ll have a new X, with blackjack and hookers”, and I approve.

Well yesterday here in Edmonton peaked at about -30 . . .

Jokes on you, that’d probably be warmer than my Canadian city is right now!

On the other hand, maybe this step back is in part because they just don’t wanna be associated with all . . . that.

And hell, the RCMP are blockading a buncha natives to stop supplies from coming in (and try and force them out of their objection to a pipeline through their lands) literally as we speak. Colonialism, thy name is Canada.

I literally know multiple opera singers personally! And I don’t even live in a Canadian city most people in Canada even think about. (Though that may be part of it, actually; we’re far enough north it’s a solid high of -30°C today, and we’re hundreds of kilometers away from the next city, so we really have to

Much more possible confusion if any of such viewers then go on to watch Gentleman Jack.

Wait a minute, major correction to my previous comments, I had thought it was all earlier in the 90s that the Spider-Man tv series did those things, but looked it up and “corrected” myself. But nope! It was years before the movie that the animated series had that take on Blade.

I heard such bad things about it that I never checked See out.

Yup, in 1997 the Spider-Man TV series introduced Morbius, and then in 1998 (earlier in the same year as the movie, and definitely cross-pollinating with it) Blade came to the series as well, and confusingly fought Morbius and also actual vampires.
