Not a hot take at all. Hell, I think I dropped out in the 3rd season or so.

Arghhh why does everything have to be a goddamn Funko Pop? Although at least in this case Baby Yoda is already deformed in basically the exact same way.

Ah, Climax. A great movie that I will only ever re-watch the first ~15min of. Entirely support John Waters giving it his #1 spot for the year.

No kidding, I know we’re making movies longer these days but LSD is just fucking ridiculous, who has time for that?

Speaking as a non-book-reader (I had already skipped past YA novels by the time it came out, and it seemed at least in marketing to be very YA; I’m dipping in here since I’m not very concerned with spoilers), the grief his mom felt landed since we’ve spent time with her. Any sort of horror about him losing his daemon

Rendering metal armor like that (especially dull, not-really-reflective armor) should actually be dramatically easier than rendering his fur, so I can’t imagine that’s the explanation.

Naw, it’s pretty easy to follow I’ve found. Maybe a bit too easy, as it’s falling into the trap a bit of characters being lagging significantly behind where I’m at as the audience.

True according to Canadian media, which doesn’t acknowledge the existence of Canada outside of Toronto other than for the sake of rural period pieces. However according to actual Canadian law, Toronto is technically just a very clean Eastern American city, so for legal purposes she is still guilty of treason.

2006 Prey is seriously underrated.

It’s in different hands day-to-day, but to be fair the executive producers are the same as Preacher (Seth Rogan seems like just a big Garth Ennis fan and using his Hollywood clout to get these things made; good for him!).

He was fantastic in Undeclared! Main problem is, he can’t act for shit and loses most of his charm with his (also pretty shit) American accent.

I’m not sure I care for the Starlight skin care regime video’s still image. It’s one thing to have a lowbrow joke about the thinly-veiled “sex sells” nature of such superhero marketing; at worst then I might roll my eyes a bit and not laugh because it’s been a bit overdone. But it’s kindof another thing within the

That’s probably fair to say. I suppose I was more going with that Ennis fits about halfway between Ellis and Millar in terms of how self-aware he is and very relatedly how much what’s objectionable in his characters is seen by him as such, and how much of terrible things happening is him just wallowing in it.

And then, strangely, the episode doesn’t end? . . . It’s a totally unnecessary cliffhanger that proves a distraction from the emotional intensity of the prior scenes.

Look, does the venture capital group that owns this site give folks enough time and space to do research? I think not.

Bringing up zombies is another interesting angle though. People have been predicting zombie burnout for ages now, yet they keep making more zombie stuff and it keeps being relatively popular. I mean, The Walking Dead is still popular somehow despite sucking for the vast majority of its run now!

To be fair it’s an understandable mistake to make, The Authority was first written but Warren Ellis and then by Mark Millar, and in many ways Garth Ennis writes like a halfway point between those two ;)

Marti Noxon is a very talented writer and showrunner who keeps getting done bad by her co-showrunners, but she seems also ironically best in collaboration (as evidenced by how amazing Buffy season 2 is, and how terrible Buffy season 6 gets, certainly after the first half). She really needs someone to leaven her

What an unbroken track record of accurate prognostication big business has! No wonder wealthy businessmen make the best politicians.

Lived near Los Angeles for a year in the early 90s, it was pretty damn nice other than whenever the smog from Los Angeles would blow our way. I hear that the smog isn’t nearly as bad these days, but you should definitely loudly claim that it still is if you want people to avoid moving there.
