Ford Making Sure Their Dealers Live Up To Service Expectations For Their $400k Supercar

If you wanted a less click-baity headline. But that’s probably not happening in the post-Hogan era of Gawker.

csb/tangent: I’ve been to Germany often for work/leisure, and often see Rams as tow or work vehicles. Probably DCA/FCA gets Euro exceptions.

Sorry to nitpick, but this line: “hovering about six feet above the ground.” gives the system too much credit. Average floor height is just an inch or two over four feet, and there’s trailer body under any OTR trailer, so we’re talking about very large obstacles that are no higher than four feet off the ground that

Cool. Give me a few months (payout and logistics) I will come back to this I promise. MkVII making the sky black!

Great write up!

...if able.

Didn’t Dax Shepard already do this in that movie with Veronica Mars (aka his wife) several years ago?

all of this.

I have a ‘15 Golf TDI. My payout (if timely) in October according to the charts will almost exactly match my payoff. Perfect. I just hope the fix doesn’t hurt my mileage too much.

That gif auto loading on the front page is a bit much.

Can’t believe it took Nissan two decades to bring it to production

Ok so I get the car fixed, but then my resale values are in the toilet and also I’ve been dealing with false MPG and emissions numbers for 60k miles. What about cash money payouts?

So that’s where Galifinakis got “Between Two Ferns”

Quite possibly.
If you reply to this I promise to use the cash from VW to see if I can get the EA288 to roll coal like my Dodge Cummins 5.9 can.
One reply = many big, black clouds of incompletely burnt diesel in the air. Or you can stop trolling. The choice is yours. (please reply, I wanna see this.)

‘15 Golf 6mt. We do average in the low 40's, but have had two or three 50mpg tanks. We live 60 miles out of the nearest major metro, though, so it’s all highway.

What I haven’t seen is how the EA288 engine (which has ad-blue) will be impacted. Every article seems to lump this engine in with the “magical” no-urea-required earlier 2.0 engines. I’ve already got the first round $500/$500 apology, but would take more (because resale values/indignation/greed.)

No better idea, but something big and obvious would get really annoying. Current icon is fine. Some illumination que would be better. Big text message is not aesthetically acceptable, to me.

All that said, best first line of any article anywhere this year.

I don’t want the fix, I’m quite happy with my 50mpg thanks. I’ll take the cash though.
