A Porsche 924 or 944 can be had for pretty cheap. Unrelated, but totally awesome is the 924 Cargo (pictured)

I agree with you 100%. Not a huge fan of the slant nose except in racing form. Even then I think the non-slant nose variety is better looking.

As of right now Porsche SE actually owns 50.7% of VW's common shares. And under the proposed merger Volkswagen AG will hold 49.9% of Porsche SE. But that doesn't look like it is going to be completed before the end of 2011.
