@Diamond Sea: I think I've worn out the F5 button on my keyboard from Kotaku.

Region locked, I presume? That rules me out over here in PAL zone.

@azr: Indeed it is. That's problem with Steam. The prices of newly released games.

@azr: I know that. I never mentioned Valve. Steam, as a platform, needs to sort out the price of newly released games. They are too expensive. Whether Valve need to do something or the publishers is for another day.

@EgoCheck616: "I would rather wait until the content is actually available than just end up with some weaker version."

@V3ctorPT: Got my Q6600 OC'd to 3.0. Running it with a GTX 275. Great card. Should run this like a dream.

More articles like this please. I love reading stuff like this and if I dont have to move away from Kotaku to read it...all the better.

@Avinant: Not to mention the Greed! :P

@KirbyMorph: New Vegas is not DLC. New game.

@Falconboom: I think i might dip into the mods for this game this time around. Never did. Saw an article on PC gamer recommending 10 mods to use with Fallout 3. Some looked pretty cool.

@Avinant: Yeah. Even the preorder usual 10% off doesn't even bring it below the price of my local retailer here or even online shops. There is no monetary incentive to buy it through Steam. It never used to be like this. Just in the last two years since December '08.

@770312: I think that it's probably part of the deal that they (microsoft/bethesda) dont mention when/if it will be coming to other platforms. Makes sense. Could result in potential lost sales on the platform to another platform if people know the time period between the releases on different platforms.

@770312: This is what happened with Fallout 3 dlc

@770312: The ballad of Gat Tony and the Lost and the Damned took almost 6 months to come out on PC and PS3. But Microsoft paid LOADS of money (reportedly $50 million) for that period of exclusivity.

I'm invested in Steam, a lot. I love it. Pretty much everything about it.

@EgoCheck616: Your post is a bit like bureaucracy at is worst.

@770312: Sometimes these timed exclusives can be months in coming to other platforms. Sure look at GTA IV. I know it's slightly different case (is it?) but it gets the point across.

Just like the protagonist in this game, the PC has been shot in the head by Microsoft and left to die in a shallow grave.

@ddhboy: Because playing a guitar (real...or fake) is currently perceived as 'cool'. Dancing is not. And I doubt it ever will be.
