@Jon: Ordered the game myself online there a couple of days ago. Most of the places are selling the Special edition for exactly the same price as the regular version. Obviously I went with the special edition.

@超外人: I suppose it is kinda true that they are doing something to work it out. But the preorder incentives are there to entice the consumer to put their money down and get a bonus for it. My point is though, that the retailers are not being tackled on this situation. The problem is that the publishers don't end up

@WolfmanWalt: Never played the original two so I wouldn't know. Good to know that.

@yantelope: Steam SALES are great. Just not the base price for most of their games.

Love Ron Perlman at the end. Hope they keep him on. Possibly underused in Fallout3

@Asbestos_Underwear: I feel that that sort of thing will begin to happen if you stop the consumer from trading in their game. Money won't be spent on games that they think they might like. The consumer will spend their money on a game that desreves it. Then they will really begin to feel the pinch.

@Kenny: Mmmmm, I love colons!: Let the consumer trade the game in. Why not? But I agree that there needs to be some agreement with the publishers and the retailers that some sort of royalty should be paid for the sale of a used game.

@Chrysalis: Excellent point. But as long as they sell the games both digitally and in the box, there will be price parity (or at leaast there should be). Sure we're not even seeing that right now, with digital games costing MORE online that in the shops in a lot of cases, despite the reduced costs with the digital

Stopping/detering consumers from trading in thier game and buying another one will probably lead to a lot of consumers being a lot more careful with thier money. No longer will they buy games, get a few days/weeks play out of it and then trade it in. You'll probably find that these people who like to trade in games do

@excel_excel: I did the same recently myself too, kinda. I originally bought ME1 about a year ago and popped it into my PC. As soon as I got to the Citadel, I turned it off. Just turned me off completely and got sick of it. Only picked it back up there a few days ago and completed it yesterday. Went down to GAME as I

Right, Anyone else enjoying MAG?

It was originally on sale on Steam for €2.49 in Gemany. Think it still is.

Interesting to find out if you think that you will be/trying to return to the game over the coming months Brian. Do you think it has the attraction to keep you coming back for more?

@yantelope: Excuse my ignorance, but what is OpenCL? What does it do/allow you to do?

@maxtothez: Gonna go with Nukee. Sounds like Romote start acting up. Disable it if you don't use it. Happened to me a few times. Think it's the router that causes it. Somehow.

@yantelope: You obvioulsy haven't played Batman on the PC with it enabled. Looks even better, and has some really nice touches. I would recommend playing it if you can.

@yantelope: You should read how they come up with the game of the year. Despite them not actually awarding scores, they all voted on the game of the year. So it actually makes sense.
