I grew up in New England, so it could just be regionally that you see a different scene.

And if the speed limit is 70?

Fair question, but there are ladies who would insist on doing all the driving (me), guys who don’t care to drive, and couples or friends that both enjoy driving and split the driving. It would be interesting to see stats for it but not fair to assume that’s the case. In my personal experience, I know more ladies who

A Jalopnik-bought Hardee’s hamburger?

Upside: when the clutch goes straight to the floor, you know you have a problem

Car was tested in the weeks leading up, but shit happens

Sometimes you do what you can leading up, and sometimes things go wrong. Sometimes in the midst of things going wrong (that shouldn’t be going wrong), more things go wrong. Especially in a race, extra especially in an enduro, when speed of repairs matters and people haven't slept in 2 days

in short, awesome street car, potentially kick ass track monster, and for something that can do both, it can do it and do it well with minimal effort. If you wanna go (club) racing, it could be a pretty decent ride, but in terms of competitiveness, no one’s racing them. BUT... my desire to have a TTRS rally car is

I was pleasantly surprised with the Golf R...

All the previous Golfs have notoriously terrible stock brake setups so I was amazed that they held up all day

I have to admit... the first time I saw the 4C I was completely enamored, but when I saw it at LRP I was suddenly less impressed. Now I’m sitting here looking at Dave’s photos and now I’m moving back towards “damn the 4C is sexy”

The downhill can be sketchy. I’ve actually been on the other side of that tire wall and
