This was not me, but my uncles and dad.

an old tale of a local Toyota dealership: Clutch slave went bad for the second time in a month. One dealership closer than the other, so went there. Replace the whole clutch! BTW, that ticking noise is your valve lifters going bad. You need to do that as well. And your suspension? Well, those struts are worn out so

409, Little GTO, and Sammy Hagar’s Trans Am(Highway Wonderland). Mustang Sally. Rocket 88. Mercury Blues (Alan Jackson version)

you hit it with Beach Boys 409. Forgot about Little Honda.

Franchise can also be a pain. A Toyota dealership, been in business, family owned, since Toyota first came over here. They did mostly trades with other smaller dealerships within a 1-200 mile radius. No problems getting the 4Runner I wanted, correct options, same way with my dad’s HiLux. I bought from a motorcycle

Another counterpoint - Suzuki Samurai, headwind, 50MPH floored. 5 speed.

Years ago I was at a car/drag/swap meet near Indianapolis. One of the GM Parade of Progress vehicles was there, they ran it down the drag strip. I don’t remember the time, but it barely made it to 60MPH at the end of the 1/4 mile. The time could have been measured by sun dial.

my BRL is always turning the wheel left/right/left/right. Just enough that he stays in his lane, but also enough that I look like I’m a bobble head. Cannot drive a straight line for nothing.

are the patrol cars BMW’s or something?

Sometimes having - or storing - all those “major awards” are a pain. Especially when they are bigger than the car.

I rode my 600F3 90 minutes away from home in a starter jacket, helmet, thin gloves. I found a good way to warm up (wink wink nudge nudge), but still had to ride home the next morning. When I rode by a sign that had the temperature on the way there, it said it was 30F. Why I didn’t drive is beyond me.

Had an ‘86 with the same issues, but it was a long bed/standard cab. Sold it to someone that was going to use it to tow a little boat, and wanted an automatic. He ended up repairing the bed over replacement. No replacements to be found.

The bike is in Minneapolis, shorter riding season. This low of miles and seems to be kept up, or at least it was washed before going up for sale. My uncle(s) had one of the previous generation, a year apart. Bikes are solid as they come. Great for open air cruising, even in the rain. NP.

my FIL was at 9 years. Moved warehouse after disassembly. Parts of that car ended up all over the new one.

lucky. I had the 200 CID v6 that died when you floored it off the line.

It looks like two people need to be shown the door.

No. Some asshole will pull too close to your bumper so you can’t open the door. And don’t be the jerk that pulls through. When you go to leave, if the lines are angled, you’re going the wrong way. If it’s only one car wide, then you’ll be the asshole that is blocking all sorts of traffic.

What’s wrong with blue lives matter flags?

It’s basically a brand new car that needs new hoses, belts, and fluid changed. DIY and it can’t be that much. NP. New car miles at a decent used car price.

When Hyundai owns Kia, it helps. There are a lot of similarities (same frame from Palisade to Telluride) but there is enough of a difference between the two.
