“1 of 1" cars can be special. Just not that car. The FIL has two “1 of 1" cars that are special. Both because of the build sheet, and one has a NHRA racing pedigree. 1963 Catalina Safari 9 passenger wagon HD, only one with a fully boxed frame from the factory with a 4speed. Other one was pulled off the line, and…
If Crackpipe is offensive, the “payday” candy bar should be as well.
I remember being on Wacker Drive (Chicago) riding with my sister before I had my DL. We were doing 20 or so over, and a guy in a BMW passed us at least another 10 over us, while reading a newspaper.
From what I can remember, the 5AT was so overbuilt and so hard to tear up. Anyone else ever notice that when you came to a hard/quick stop, that it would seem that the suspension was still bound up, like it didn’t release? Hard to explain, but at least it was that way on mine. Another guy had the same motor/trans, but…
I am the same way. I loved my 08 Urban Runner. Would have gotten another one 2019/2020 but..it was the same vehicle. Same 4.0L v6, same 5 speed, same interior, same...same..same. As long as they don’t screw up and get rid of the rear window...I’ll probably be back.
it isn’t just car manufacturers that are against this. John Deere, Case.... repair.org is fighting this, with crowd funded support.
I seriously believe that is what happened with my father. His hear was still strong, but after at least 3 grand strokes, and countless minors, his brain had no blood flow, but his heart kept beating on it’s own, for almost a week. The nursing home he was in had no way to prove it, but I do believe he was gone long…
too bad I can only give but one star
I will say that I have seen KISS in concert. I am not a big fan, as most of the music is the same words over and over. “Lick It Up” comes to mind. Gene has even come out and said he is a business man, not a musician. I agree with that statement. He is not a musician, just happens to know how to stick out his tongue.…
Much better than what one uncle did to another. All winter long, as the heater warmed up, the windows went down because of the smell. Finally in the spring, when putting summer tires back on (this was way back when) he saw something he happened to be in the car as yet another uncle was jacking up the car (safety…
until it’s you in the hospital, it’s no big deal, right?
most of the contractors use this as a second income. Contractors? Yes. Employees? no. there is no set time in which they are to be on duty or off. If so, Uber/Lyft could tell someone that they are on the midnight to 8 AM shift, and prove that they are there, or terminated. Or even when they need to be at their primary…
I had a similar 1984, which had the hideaway headlights, and the rear top spoiler. I put the second 90k on it. Had the 22R-E (EFI) engine. It was red, with the red/black interior, manual, and did rust on the rear hatch like they all did. Same rims as this car, which also went onto their minivan. I did the tire size…
My ‘84 Celica hatchback had a rear tank for the spray. Also those rear wing windows allow for a lot of air to escape (like rear window of a 4runner, or back window of a truck) so you don’t get that weird compression when a front windows or two is open.
I’ve seen a few that were turned into 1/4 mile cars. I did DD when I was a teen. Nice looking car, but the 200 CID 1bbl was the worst I’ve ever driven. A snail could outrun it off the line....to the point that if you floored it off the line it would stall out. The only thing that was never replaced, other than the…
For $2k,and the injector, buy it, clean it up, drive it for a few months, sell it. profit.
People are going to get into wrecks. People will get injured. Some will expire. Roads buckle, cars flip, deer or other wildlife appear on roads. People don’t wear seat belts. Some people drive waaaaay too fast. Drag racing on roads. Texting. Changing the radio station. Facebook, Twitter, TikTok. Those mysterious trees…
Bad idea. I would believe there are times that the wife would throw it at me. Maybe that’s what the cast iron pan or rolling pin is for, but bricks leave no fingerprints. “It wasn’t me....it was the one-armed man!”
This one is so much borderline. Fun car to thrash around? Hell yeah. The respray? Hell no. The price? Hell no. 500-1500 less? then it would be much better of a risk. Even with a rebuild.
