I had a red ‘84 GT with the 22RE - ran circles around a buddy that had an 82 with the 20R. Better front end on the 84, block headlights over exposed headlights. Midwest salt got to it, at 183k, got about 1800 on trade in 1994/5 which I thought was good. Timing chain was so loose it rattled.

Once you’ve had a VFR, you understand. Shocked that you didn’t include that on your list. They did come back out with the 8th Gen, very similar to the 6th Gen 800 that you had. Side pipe over under tail exhaust. They have such a following it’s crazy. Illinois it’s still random even after the MSF class to get tested.

Test drove the “base model” Telluride...came with leather, and a lot of electronic goodies. Plus a 10 year 100k warranty over the 5 year 60k warranty. They are very upscale, and a much better price to boot over the 2020 Explorer. Not as brutish as the 4Runner, but that is a body-on-frame ride compared to the rest.

Step 1: Replace top with screen door mesh

Little bit too much $$, but a decent Bronco that needs some TLC. Rear window, probably rear windows motor, interior clean-up, and if you want to keep it, metal work.

Why is that? Bradley? NHRA - one car has more HP than the field of NASCAR cars...and enough torque to move the earth in the other direction. Might be a *slight* exaggeration...

CP 100%. Found one with ~500 miles on it over 15 years ago, for under $1500. About the same year. F-I-L bought it for M-I-L to ride, who promptly failed the MSF course. Niece bough it, she’s been happily enjoying it since. Solid bike, just not this one.

What do you think the Syclone\Typhoon were?

Last I heard, you could ride your ass into town. It is a type of mule, or donkey. That’s how you could explain it.

One doesn’t learn how to operate a vehicle in Driver’s ed, either. It all comes with actual on the road experience. THat is the only place to get experience.

Who elected the person that suggested that law? That is just absurd.

Fairly sure he moved the decimal point when posting the price. More like $135.00 Show car or not these vehicles are not good. Had one. Don’t get me wrong, they would go anywhere, small wheelbase helps, but that same small wheelbase is horrid on pavement. The barely-a-motor wouldn’t keep it at 55 with a strong headwind

as a married man, when your wife is on a roll, you let her roll, and you roll out the way. If my wife was that pissed off, I’d be there to back her up, but, I stay out of the way.

and on the wrong side of the white lines

Dodge trucks can really climb things. A friend of ours (who shouldn’t have had a truck like she did, and who couldn’t handle the truck) had bought a slightly lifted Dodge 1500. Nice truck, but I felt sorry for it.

All of the KITT cars (including KARR) were at the Indian Uprising, near Chicago this past summer. Jim Rockford’s Firebird Esprit was there as well.

You forgot several models along the way. Star Chief, Bonneville, Catalina, Safari Wagons, Laurentian, Parisienne, Strato-Chief, Banshee, Steamliner...

I had the same issue. Google Chrome on a Windows 10/1809 PC.

Many years ago, a local Toyota dealer was replacing metal that they had already replaced on my mom’s 89 Celica GT. I happened to be by said dealer in Moline, IL for the same body shop. I saw it leave the dealership *without a rear bumper*!! I went in, asked for my estimate, then asked for the shop manager. Read him

“Honestly, the front’s completely useless, though. Unless you’re like six foot five, there’s no way to meaningfully access the frunk.”
