That’s how I am with my parents. Half the people I meet tell me I look like my dad, the other half tell me my mom.

This has been one of the biggest pieces to swallow for me. I feel complicit even though I didn’t not vot for him but that 53% is hard to grapple with.

Now I think back on it some of the stories do seem incomplete, and I started it after going through a Stuff You Missed in History binge and that definitely was an albeit minor issue for me.

For my dad’s family, we’ll always have family dinner and then a special cake for the second baby, maybe some presents if people wanted to buy them. So not a whole, new, planned shower, but some recognition and celebration. (And we’re small town normals ;) )
