I think it’s entirely plausible for a Dyson sphere to exist before we’ve learned how to cure the thousands of diseases that are collectively called cancers.

Politics is the power relationship between people. It would be impossible to make a game with more than one character that has no politics. You could say that you wouldn’t buy the game because you don’t like the political message, which is fair.

Clay barely featured into it. My e-mail went off to Davenport before I knew what that blowhard was saying. His audience is not as big as you think, and to a good portion of the fans he’s just white noise. Most of his crowd isn’t alumni and he’s not popular among the donors, and it’s the uproar from those two groups

Imagine being so tone-deaf that you think the fans are mad about Schiano being a crappy coach instead of him being a generally terrible person. After getting hit with Title IX violations for handling sexual assault cases Curry thinks it’s a good idea to hire someone who is widely considered to have been complicit in a

I don’t think my wife and I know any of each other’s passwords. Plenty of men use that knowledge to be controlling of their partners and I want to stay clear away from that by setting that boundary mutually. Whoever owns the account can authenticate on the device, since we’re together anyway.

My wife and I just had a kid, and I had been wondering these past few months how 3 of my (male) colleagues in the same role had such an easier time with parenting. I thought maybe they were more used to it when I remembered that their wives don’t work outside of the home. My wife’s office has been more than

Facebook isn’t a private company and even if it were, it couldn’t afford the blowback from advertisers if they suddenly shut down. They still have to have a business model or they won’t have anything worth investing in.

Yeah, and they now have power over Facebook that they didn’t have before. The tables have turned.

Consider that the potential fine is $50,000 per violation, and there were 50 million violations.

He doesn’t have to try to be important if he’s still appointing judges.

I mean, in most states you can be fired for being gay still. I don’t think the culture war is over.

Could have saved some time if he used an .xls file instead of .xslx.

The Russians did it, and want everybody to know they did it. It wasn’t a covert operation, it’s a message to internal political opponents and other expatriot political opponents of the current regime.

What UT crowd? There was a smattering there, since most were hoping to get a chance to see them in Atlanta. We were expecting to struggle to get to .500. Anything after that was gravy.

I don’t see them beating Kentucky, especially if Vanderbilt is back. Loyola hits a high percentage of their shots but the flip side is that a small dip below 50% turns the tables against them. Without Kyle Alexander Tennessee put up a bunch of undersized freshman interior players who can’t protect the rim, but

Why would there be a Schadenfreude gallery for this one? UT won the SEC with 3-Star recruits signed away from mid-major schools. Nobody expected them to be in the tournament, much less bought tickets.

I remember a few.

Can’t believe how many times the announcers talked about “Tennessee’s length!” when the only UT player over 6'7" was knocked out of this game by a 300 pound Wright State player on Thursday. That was tough to watch.

Of course, even if you do that Wright State could always send a football lineman to hip check your only shot-blocker out of the next game. :(
