I think the Duke boys get a pass because they are explicitly anti-authoritarian. It’s like how a cross section of black southern rappers coopted the stars and bars back in the 90s. I would add, given the attitude shown about cops here, that the bar owner likely did in fact get aggressive with the cop and got arrested for it. I would imagine that the adrenalin was flowing rather well given an SUV had just crashed into his business, and seeing it was a cop he flipped out a bit.

Plus, the bar was gay in Missouri. That’s an automatic lynching isn’t it? It allegedly probably will become such under new red state laws written by ALEC.
