Exactly.  She lost her primary and it wasn’t even close.  In a GOP primary?  She’d have whipped her opponents ass with comments like this.

She got 11 percent of the vote, but Fox News is really selling the “Democrat says racist things” angle.

Doesn’t she realize she’s not in the right party to do this sort of thing?

Young, some words will never play out round these parts.

This is the comment I was going to make. H street NE now, is not the H street of old that I grew up on and around. It has gentrified....., street cars, Whole Foods, a slew of bars and restaurants (rat problem though I wouldn’t eat on H st) it is like the new Adams Morgan. But still to call a bus full of black folk

With the rapid gentrification of H-street, it’s becoming more and more white.

I would call this a case of attempted suicide or an overdose of the ever popular drug “white privilege.

Was only sixteen bullets. Had it been seventeen, maybe we could call him a victim. Maybe.

Yeah, I ain’t buying whatever this judge is selling.  The guy is on trial for killing somebody.  Doesn’t matter what the defense is.  Apparently the new way to put the victim on trial is to not call him a victim.

The fuck are they supposed to call him? The dude who somehow caught seventeen bullets?

“Certainly, there is a person that’s dead as a result of this tragic situation but that doesn’t mean that the person is a victim legally.”

Ditto. Sessions is terrible but most of his stuff can be undone fairly quickly. McConnell’s stealing of Obama’s final Supreme Court pick will affect the country for decades.

Now playing

Don’t be like that. We’ve been doing satire hip hop forever. Happy Hump(ty) Day. :-)

I’m not discounting your personal volunteer work to help whichever community it is that you help.

absolutely not. these people KNOW what they believe is wrong. being nice to them and coddling them has only made them bolder, more brash. i know assholes don’t like to hear that they’re assholes, but they need to be reminded that they are. they are responsible for the changes they need to make in their lives, not the

Look, if Mr. P wants to keep collecting Klan robes from reformed racist like he’s playing Pokemon Go (“Gotta’ Catch ‘em All!”), more power to him.

This. All of this. The fact is people of color as a whole have experienced a lot more trauma from this fracked up American system, individual and collective racists, and poverty, but no cares about trauma or why Jamal picked up the gun in the first place when they scream about “Chicago!” or “Black on Black crime!”

Yet

No. He needs to actually look at the history of Black people . Black people have been trying to reach out for centuries. We have tried love, religion, education, art, and social collaboration. And each and every time, they have made a point to call us subhumans, not even fit to live in their universe.

I was going to check this out but that was before he started up with that black people need to reach out and love, ish that our people have been doing since the day slavery ended and we still waiting for that to be reciprocated.

It’s all nice and kumbaya that he believes empathy is key in making the shift among white nationalist/neo-nazis and garden variety racists. But here’s the question I have for them, where do they become adults and responsible for their own behavior and subsequent change?
