We had a small cake for us and a bunch of desserts made by family members - my aunt’s fabulous cheesecakes and my grandma’s famous pecan pie. And a death by chocolate cake from a local bakery, because my dad loved that stuff.

I officially Do Not Get performance art. At all.

Ugh, I had a horribly long period the last time I took bc - eight or ten weeks of horrible. Then I got Provera for suspected hyperplasia, and everything went to shit. I never really had pms (cramps of the damned, but they started after the period), but I suddenly turned into the most stereotypical raging pms monster

We didn’t even manage tiers for our cake! (various family members made desserts, including my aunt’s amazing cheesecakes) You’d think we’d be miserable with the knowledge, but we’ve somehow managed to survive for fourteen years.

In Michigan, the add a little extra rule hits you AFTER you pay the ticket. I got a ticket, fair cop, I was speeding. Paid the fine, thought everything was good - checked with our insurance agent and it was minor enough that it wouldn’t raise our rates. A few weeks later, I get a letter from the state, telling me that

The whole book is amazing - I recommend it to anyone trying to figure out the LDS.

That’s happened to me, too, though mostly with dental problems. I’m feeling a bit better, hopefully the stuff they gave is kicking in...

It’s been 48 hours. The medi-center doc said to go back to the ER if it’s not better by Monday.

That’s kinda what I’m doing - yogurt and probiotics for the stomach, more otc stuff than is strictly recommended, and the Rivers of London books on the Kindle. Thanks for the cuties!

I went to the ER on Thu because I actually peed blood. They gave me morphine when I was there, but I still had Norco left from the dentist earlier in the week, so I didn’t get any more. I got something called nitrofurantoin for an antibiotic and something that starts with phenaz to help the pain. It both barely helps

I have a UTI and a dental abscess. I am on two different kinds of antibiotics, which is giving me horrible diarrhea, and the doctor at the medi-center wouldn’t give me any painkillers. But I have the stuff that turns my pee orange and doesn’t help much! I hurt like fuck and barely have the energy to get to the

And afaik, most pregnancy ultrasounds are external, right?

I had a few transvaginal ultrasounds when the doctors were trying to figure out what was going on with my ladybits, and I found them terribly violating. Even when they were necessary diagnostic procedures, I hated them. I shudder at the thought of being forced to endure one because some assbag politician gets off on

I once picked up a job application that asked for not only my email (all my email addresses) and social network IDs, but the passwords. After picking my jaw off the floor, I threw it away. If I’d had a safe place to burn it, I’d have done that.

MrBrook has worked in multiple school systems as a special ed parapro, and I just checked, he has never been drug tested. He’s had exhaustive, fingerprinted background checks, but they evidently never thought about someone who works around young special needs kids showing up on meth or something...

For pretty much anything. I had to bring my prescription bottles once to prove that 1) I was taking a serious antibiotic for a dental infection and 2) the vicodin scrip was both real and recent. For a temp job. Assholes.

In the 2011 Globe production of Much Ado About Nothing, both Hero and her father were black. And it was... good. If I hadn’t seen the Tennant/Tate version first, I might have enjoyed the Globe version more.

To me, a Reed Richards vibe is a lot of rude arrogance and superiority. Honestly, if I were Sue, I would’ve at least given Namor a couple of weeks. He might turn out to be just as bad as Reed, but I bet she’d have a lot more fun.

Were you able to pay any attention at all to the action of either of the Avengers movies?

I’m reminded of the bullshit controversy around casting Idris Elba as Heimdall. Yet the MCU didn’t collapse. Fanboys didn’t require fainting couches at early screenings. Some fangirls, on the other hand....
