I was significantly enraged by the “punching down” aspect of their comedy, like they were trying to write a hot take about so-called PC culture. I didn’t enjoy it at all. It wasn’t even good for a hate watch, since I was mostly nauseated and disappointed.

Finally! We can discuss. I 100% agree on Kiernan. At times I wanted to blame the writing but then you see the rest of the cast hamming it up you come back to the conclusion that it’s her, not the writing. This is the perfect case of “looking the part doesn’t mean you know how to own it.” Hopefully she gets in more…

I watch this movie once a year or so and I still adore it. I hold it in the same regard as the 80's fantasy movies of my childhood. I remember when they came back to TV a month or so later after the movie and I was SO disappointed they didn’t have the awesome movie suits anymore.
