"In the race to set up franchises all over town, there are certain human-scale subgenres—probably not coincidentally, genres that often attract a female target audience—that have become neglected or in some cases consolidated."

I watched it for the millionth time this past weekend and it's still hilarious and charming and weird. Great, great movie.

One of my worst memories is getting diarrhea while seeing a friend in Manhattan. The group we were with included my close friend and her group of friends - people who I considered acquaintances and had occasional small talk with. We were on the subway and I had a panic - we needed to get off IMMEDIATELY. I will

When Rafael was listing out his interests I couldn't believe it. If I were in a relationship, I would die of boredom listening to him talk about investing and real estate and all that. Someone needs an appropriate work-life balance…

#TeamMichael wins out again when we learn that Michael makes Hodor references, reads comic books, and makes an embarrassing attempt at the cool-guy handshake. Brett Dier does a good Ben Wyatt impression.

I've liked Greg all along, but my friend fucking hated him. He would get so mad at his self-loathing nice guy BS.

16 year old me: "LOGAN IS THE WORST OMG WHAT A SNOB"
23 year old me: "Eh, he's not that bad, and also he's pretty."

I thought it was hilarious, especially the second season starring June Diane Raphael.

The Bachelor-equivalent show is called Everlasting. The star of the show is referred to as the "suitor". Technically you're right but if you watch the show then it doesn't feel confusing at all.

Good. Is Johanna Brady available?

My vegan friends are perfectly nice to my face but I know for a fact that they think I'm a bad person and have said so behind my back. Shrug.

Some of his trolling is so niche though, which I admire. In the midst of some buyouts of rare/old Magic: the Gathering cards, he posted on the Magic subreddit asking for "advice for a new and wealthy player" implying his plan to buy out more cards and possibly look into buying the game's parent company (Hasbro).

I'm with you on this one. I actually prefer the songs that feel more like a traditional "musical" song - where people randomly start singing to express how they feel in that particular moment. A song like "Heavy Boobs," while being funny in a vacuum, felt pretty out of place and random IMO.

This guy is the best troll I've ever seen.

Sometimes I forget that his father was murdered by his step-mother, a notorious crime lord, and that his mother, after abandoning him as a child, came back to manipulate him and is actually a crime lord as well.

I played "His Status is Preferred" for my boyfriend recently and he laughed out loud at several points during the song. It's definitely underrated. Paula as a character has grown on me with time, too. I think she's seen as annoying/underdeveloped by a lot of people, but she's subtly hilarious.

Edit: it's unclear from the article whether people refer to the process as organic or the decaffeinated coffee beans.

The only person who I text that uses "u" instead of "you" is my mother.

YESSSS

It will never cease to amuse me when companies tout their "organic process" which is actually just using organic solvents. In my hometown, there's an organic dry cleaners.
