Agents of SHIELD has been off for over a year thanks to the Avengers movies. That dang grape!

Ava’s Face-Heel Turn could have used more build up.  As it was her endorsement of torture seemed to come out of nowhere.

It makes sense that Ava and Sara would fight. They both have strong points of view and very different styles, and a tendency to bulldoze everyone to get their way that ends up inevitably bruising feelings. I tend to side with Sara in this case though when Ava is justifying fascism and torture and then waffling and

The Sara/Ava split felt *really* forced even if they both had sound arguments. (At least about their relationship - Ava, with her backstory, advocating that experimenting without consent can be good makes no fucking sense).

Ah, my favorite nonsense show is back. That was the most unnecessarily long wait for a tv show that I like in a long time.

I was working hard at a Metropolis job making dough, but it made me blue.
One day I was scheming a lot and so I decided to move to...
National City, California, brand new pals and new career!
It happens to be where Lex lives, but that’s not why I’m heeeeeere.
She’s the crazy Lex-girlfriend!
What? No, I’m not.

Just popping in to say thanks as always for the great discussion. I haven’t always been in the right headspace to wander into any comments section, even one so regularly lovely as this, but with the end creeping up I couldn’t resist. Y’all are terrific.

Greg’s declaration at the end was one sweet punch to the feels.

If this show doesn’t end with polyamory I will be genuinely stunned and I never thought I would say that about a network television program.

I’m pretty sure the incredibly convenient price of exactly $50 is a joke, not a reality.

I kind of agree with Oliver’s point that the monologue felt kind of out of place and off-rhythm for the show, especially with how Xo and Alba weren’t speaking, but damn if Gina Rodriguez swinging so wildly and believably from numb shock to sadness to anger to resigned humor and back around again wasn’t impressive.

Petra: “I love you.”

The monologue was wonderful. Even more impressive that Gina Rodriguez directed it.

I agree about not loving the love triangle but I do think/hope Jane will end up with Rafael (and this is coming from an early Jane/Michael lover)

It wasn’t cancelled, its story was pitched as 4 seasons, and this is the 4th season. They let it reach the end when it had no business making it based on old rating metrics.

“As you guys know I do a lot of crunches”

When we started the show, we were warned that the situation was a lot more nuanced than that, but God, I think we all got more nuance than we expected to be signing up for and I will miss it and these reviews so much.

BWP, fine. But I don't see how you can't succumb to Cabin's effusive charms.

Cabin is one of my favorites too! Not many of us out there.

If it’s a serious question: Craftsmanship is not all that matters. The review itself lays out why I think the film, which is quite good, falls short of the A range.
