I cannot believe pretzel Simon & Garfunkel didn’t even rate a mention in the review. They were everything!

It’s hard to miss that a lot of this season is flat out fan service but, hey, I’m still entertained this far into the season and that’s a definite plus for any later season of AHS. I liked the return of Lance Reddick’s Papa Legba, who I always thought was an interesting presence on Coven - there’s a kind of scary

I am hoping Arrow is going to learn from last season and course correct. I mean, as much as they can while Diaz is still alive. Worst villain ever? Yes. However, I am putting all of my hopes in Roy Harper to save the show. Fingers crossed.

I thoroughly reject your minus, and give this episode a solid “A”. Absolutely embraced everything great about Legends, which is the combination of goofiness and the great character relationships.

Allison, why aren’t you (or AVclub) reviewing Arrow this season? :( I loved reading your reviews last year and being able to share in our mutual frustrations about NTA. How about you just email me your thoughts on Arrow each week so I can know if my opinions are correct? lol. I am happy you are reviewing Legends

They brought up adoption for Kev and Vee but I’m sure that during the season when all the Gallagher kids got sent to foster homes Fiona actually asked Vee to take them in. And Vee said that she would do it but Ethel had completely screwed their records and now they can no longer legally adopt or foster kids.

I assume that the writers didn’t want to pile too much on Fiona that they had no ability to resolve, but come on. How do you crash your car on a residential street and just walk away from it without attracting any attention? Not a single person heard the yelling, the screeching tires, or the loud crash?

“So I guess he was just using Dex as a sort of battering ram to get into Fisk’s penthouse? Which then only results in making Matt’s mission even harder because he has to stop Dex from killing Fisk while simultaneously trying to kill Fisk himself. It’s a clumsy way for the episode to get to the preordained endpoint of

- So happy to see White Josh! and Maya! and Madison! and Kathy Najimy!

It was nice to see that despite not remembering (again) anything about him Eleanor, as always, sees right through Michael’s lies. Those were bad lies but people often believe in what they hear to avoid things that are against their belief systems. She doesn’t allow him to distract her or let an explanation pacify

Woof. And somehow he looked even MORE ripped in that t-shirt. It’s a good look for him. I appreciate the show giving us shirtless Chidi for a majority of the episode.

I actually lost the thread of his ethics summary because of that right bicep. And I’m not generally about the biceps.

Chidi is *surprisingly* jacked

Fav line of the ep: You cut my hair, I cut you.

Kind of feel like Nora is what Wally was supposed to be, the young, enthusiastic speedster who makes Barry realize how much he’s grown. Wally got dragged down into family drama and whining and some stupid pod thing from Savatar and why did I just bother to remember season three please slap me.

Nora’s at best disinterest, at worst disdain for Iris is bumming me out

A few thoughts:

Maybe she’s not President illegally. It’s possible she was born in the u.s., to alien parents.

While I also would prefer for Tiya Sircar to return to the Good Place as the demonic diva Vicky, I still kind of resent her character being dispatched so quickly and brutally on this show. It does make me really hate the new villain, anyway.

Is the Guardian plotline really over though? Or is this just a monkey wrench for James? If he doesn’t spend the season trying to find a way to be Guardian again, he won’t have much to do other than be a love interest to Lena.
