For pdfs and docs, you could always use Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer (by Google).

I feel the same way. I also feel that themer is something i can use to show off in front of friends but not use it productively.

I think you should consider google keep as well . Its much faster and simpler than evernote. The only problem is there is no ios app for it. Otherwise it would be fantastic.
